| 内容記述 | 途上国の貧困緩和等において農業協同組合（以下，農協）の果たす役割が国際的に着目されており，農業大国であるブラジルでも同様の傾向が見られる。ブラジルにおける農協は，累積債務危機やハイパーインフレの影響により1990年代末に経営危機に陥ったが，2000年代以降に組織数や輸出実績が急拡大する成長を遂げて息を吹き返したことが知られている。しかしながら，ブラジルの農協の2010年代の経済的成果に関する先行研究は限定的である。そこで，本論では，ブラジルの農協の変遷や経済的成果について俯瞰（ふかん）する。その結果，社会的な役割を担いつつも，資本集約的な農業に適応するために，効率を追求する新しい農協モデルや企業的な経営手法の導入によって，ブラジルの農協が持続的な経営を実現していることが明らかになった。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | In contemporary times, international organizations are focusing on the function of agricultural cooperatives in alleviating poverty in rural communities in developing economies. This is apparent in the case of Brazil, a leading agricultural country in the world. Brazilian agricultural cooperatives encountered many difficulties during the debt crisis and hyperinflation from the 1980s to the mid-1990s, but cooperatives overcame these challenges, even expanding the nation’s exports. Minimal literature exists on the recent economic performance of Brazilian agricultural cooperative; therefore, this article investigates the history and economic performance of Brazilian cooperatives to identify the potential factor of sustainable management for nations involved in capital-intensive agriculture, using statistical data and the result of interview survey. | |||||||||||
